Manchester City won 2-1 against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon after Dominik Szoboszlai’s superb opening goal was canceled out by late goals from Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland.
Manchester United icon Roy Keane has accused Manchester City of a “lack of respect” after music could be heard coming from the away dressing room during Liverpool manager Arn Slott’s post-match interview.
City were headed for another disappointing result in the Premier League title race after Dominik Szoboszlai broke the deadlock for the Reds in the 74th minute at Anfield. However, Josep Guardiola’s side turned the game around in the closing stages, with Bernardo Silva scoring the equalizer and Erling Haaland scoring the winner in the 93rd minute.
After wild celebrations in front of 3,000 traveling fans, City’s players returned to their changing rooms. In fact, music was blaring from City’s dressing room during Slott’s post-match interview.

To say Keane was unimpressed with City would be an understatement. “I’m curious if there’s music playing when Pep speaks,” he told Sky Sports. “Man City have a right to have fun, but they have to show a little respect.
“Turn down the bloody music while people are doing press conferences. That’s ridiculous.”
Speaking about the game as a whole and City’s finish in this season’s title race, Keane added: “It’s a great result. It’s a big step forward for City. Their record here hasn’t been great. Pep said before the game that when you come to Anfield you have to show character and personality, and this City team showed that, especially in the second half.”
“In terms of football in the first half, they were very good. We have been criticizing this team for the last 18 months because of the standards that City have set, and this team is not really up to that standard. But today, in the second half, they showed desire and quality.”
“That’s more than three points. It’s a huge lift mentally and it’s a bit of a hammer blow for Arsenal. They still have a great lead but to get three points after City conceded a point is huge.”
The victory moved City back to six points behind leaders Arsenal with 13 games remaining. Guardiola’s side must face the Gunners at the Etihad Stadium in April.
Manager Guardiola spoke about his team’s performance against Liverpool and expressed his delight at getting the three points, saying after the match: “It’s very difficult. Anfield is Anfield.
“The tradition, the history, the crowd. It looks small and tight, the pitch doesn’t look the same size as the Etihad. The players they have and everything. Of course it would be disappointing[if we lose]and there would be a question of it being over. Six is better than nine, but considering Arsenal and how strong they are in all departments, it’s still good enough.”
