“Arsenal in particular made contact with his agent at the time.”
Cherry triggers purchase obligation
Junior Crupi may have been linked with a move away from the Premier League, but it’s not all bad news for Bournemouth fans.
Romano has now announced that he will join Bournemouth on a five-year deal worth €19.5 million.
“Bournemouth have signed Alex Jimenez from AC Milan on a permanent contract, purchase obligation activated as planned,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter).
“Fixed fee of 19.5 million euros, additional fees of 5.3 million euros, 5.5 year contract.
“The commission will be split 50-50 between AC Milan and Real Madrid (who own 50% of the sale price).”
Leipzig target Leitz
According to Florian Plettenberg, RB Leipzig have their sights set on Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Rocco Reitz.
The versatile 23-year-old has impressed for the Bundesliga giants this season, appearing in 21 league games and registering two assists.
According to Plettenberg, Leipzig are keen to agree a deal rather than pay the full termination fee.
“RB Leipzig are working on a verbal agreement with Rocco Reitz,” he wrote on X.
“Negotiations are continuing and Leipzig have offered him a contract from this summer until 2031.
“Borussia Mugladbach has been informed, but no agreement has yet been reached between the clubs.
“More teams are interested in him.
“Leipzig would like to pay less than the 25-28 million euro termination fee.
“As was made clear in mid-January, Reitz is one of the top running back targets to replace Kampl/Schlager.”
