Arsenal got back on track in the Premier League with a 4-0 win over Leeds, restoring a seven-point advantage at the top of the table with a comprehensive win.
Arsenal star Declan Rice has told his team-mates that “every game is a cup final” from now until the end of the season. Rice, 27, played the entirety of the Gunners’ 4-0 win over Leeds on Saturday.
The victory at Elland Road was brought about by goals from Martin Zvimendi, Victor Gyokeres and Gabriel Jesus, as well as an own goal from Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow. Arsenal are currently seven points clear at the top of the Premier League and have a chance to win four trophies.
Mikel Arteta’s side finished top of the table and reached the last 16 of the Champions League, and are still in the FA Cup, where they will face Chelsea in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday. Rice knows Arsenal cannot afford to be complacent after going three games without a win in the Premier League before Saturday’s trip to Yorkshire.
“We knew how big today’s game was after watching the last three performances,” the midfielder told Sky Sports. “Winning 4-0 is a big win for us.

“We can control what we can control and we have to keep winning games and keep pushing. What happens is what happens. So far we are top of the Premier League and have won eight out of eight in the Champions League.
“We can’t complain about the situation we’re in. We’re in a really strong position and as players we know we’ve got a really good team. Every game is a cup final. We have a long four months ahead of us, but we’re ready. Let’s keep going and do our best.”
Arteta was also pleased with his team’s response after losing 3-2 at home to Manchester United last weekend. “Yeah, it’s very impressive,” the Gunners manager said.

“We’re talking about the noise, but the fact that we were the first team to win eight games in a row in the Champions League was also a great noise.
“It’s a lot of noise, but a very positive noise. We always want to talk more about other noises. Other noises are part of it too. The expectation is to win every game.”
“We’re competing against an incredible opponent and I know that’s true, but I think that more than anything else needs to fuel the energy and the desire to win.”
