Palmer sets up Pedro for ‘clinical’ important goal in Napoli

The Mirror claims the England international is out of the club’s price range and will prioritize reinforcements in other positions.
“An attacking midfielder is not on the club’s priority list when it comes to strengthening the squad.
“United have invested around £135m in signing Matheus Cunha and Brian Mbeumo and we don’t think this is an area of focus for the team.
“United could decide to spend whatever it takes to keep Bruno Fernandes on an extension. It is understood co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has held talks with CEO Omar Berrada about potential targets.”
“And the duo are tasked with bringing in a world-class defensive midfielder to replace the departing Casemiro. United’s players to watch include Adam Wharton, Elliott Anderson and Carlos Baleva, but they are mindful of the potential valuation of the trio.

Arsenal keep tabs on striker Alvarez
Arsenal could make a move for Atletico Madrid striker Julián Álvarez this summer.
The Daily Mail reported the report, saying sporting director Andrea Berta could play a big role in convincing the former Manchester City forward to return to England.
The Gunners are said to be in the market for new attacking options, with £64m signing Victor Goqueres having scored just five Premier League goals so far this season.
“Berta spent 12 years at Atletico and was the man who personally negotiated Alvarez’s £82m move from Manchester City in 2024.
“Arsenal’s strikers have struggled to score goals this season, but Alvarez has scored 40 goals in his one and a half seasons at Atletico.”

“Napoli, who were linked with the winger in the summer, have also shown renewed interest. Sterling, 31, will likely consider a move abroad to restart his career.

“During last summer he was considering a loan move, but for family reasons he limited himself to clubs in London and its surrounding areas.
“And he rejected the idea of a permanent move to MLS or the Saudi Professional League because he believed he could still play at the highest level.
“Sterling remains determined to prove that and will move to Europe if the right opportunity arises.”
The Palace Stalls on Strand Larsen
According to the Guardian, Crystal Palace are “in a deal stall” to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jorgen Strand Larsen.
However, Palace are said to be close to signing Evan Guesand on loan from Aston Villa.
Palace had verbally agreed in principle to sign the Norwegian striker for £45m plus £5m add-ons. The Wolves were waiting for a formal written offer, but despite positive negotiations, no offer came through.
Palace appear to have turned cold on Strand Larsen after moving forward with a loan deal for Evan Guesand from long-time target Aston Villa.
Palace agreed an option for Guesand, who joined Villa from Nice in a £30.5m deal last summer, but they were one of the clubs that lost out on his signature at the time. ”
