With just days left in the January transfer window, big deals could still be in the works with a number of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.
The January 2026 transfer window is almost over and dusted, but a lot of money has been spent. Manchester City have once again strengthened their financial strength with the signings of Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi from Bournemouth and Crystal Palace respectively.
And while their Premier League rivals have yet to really step into the market, all that could change in the coming days. The deadline is fast approaching and many clubs could be looking to select additional members for their squads.
That includes leaders Arsenal, while Chelsea are predictably joining the conversation as they aim to retain new manager Liam Rosenior.
But what kind of deals could actually be done before the window ends? Here’s what MirrorFootball looks at.

Victor Valdepeñas joins Arsenal
Arsenal are not expected to spend much over the next few days, but they could make another deal with Spanish giants Real Madrid. According to the BBC, the Gunners are interested in young defender Valdepeñas.
They are monitoring him closely and internal discussions are ongoing about a possible transfer. It remains to be seen whether that will happen in the winter or towards the summer, but it could move relatively quickly.
Douglas Luiz joins Chelsea
Arsenal’s London rivals Chelsea could also be busy over the next few days. The Blues have announced their desire to add a new midfielder to their squad following the injury to Dario Esgo.
Douglas Luiz is a potential option for the Blues, but the deal would be very complicated. The Brazilian is currently on loan with Nottingham Forest, so Chelsea will need to negotiate with parent club Juventus as well as the Reds.

Oscar Bobb and Ricardo Pepi join Fulham
On the other side of west London, Chelsea’s neighbor Fulham could also be very busy over the next few days. They are interested in Manchester City wideman Oscar Bobb, but he is expected to leave the Etihad Stadium following Semenyo’s arrival.
They are also eyeing a deal for PSV forward Ricardo Pepi, making an offer of £28 million for the American striker. That could be enough to entice the Dutch side to sell.
Adama Traore joins West Ham
West Ham, who remain in London, may also be busy trying to escape relegation. Nuno Espirito Santo has named former Wolves star Adama Traore as a possible candidate.
Fulham manager Marco Silva has confirmed that the ball is now firmly in Traore’s court over a potential move to the London Stadium, with the Spanish wide man ready to leave.
Lucas Paqueta joins Flamengo
If Traore arrives at West Ham, Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta could leave the club sooner rather than later. He had been linked with a possible departure throughout the transfer window and his former club Flamengo were keen to sign him.
The Brazilian side have already had several rejected bids for Paqueta’s signature, with the latest bid valued at around £38.5 million. That could be enough to convince West Ham to sell.
Ryan Mandas and Christos Mandas join Bournemouth
The Hammers already made a big investment in January this year, with Bournemouth set to follow suit with a dual deal of their own. Goalkeeper Christos Mandas is set to move to the south coast on loan from Italian giants Lazio.
Meanwhile, the Cherries are also trying to find a replacement for Semenyo. Vasco da Gama winger Ryan has flown to England ahead of a £25m move to the Premier League.
Tammy Abraham joins Aston Villa
Aston Villa currently sit third in the Premier League, four points behind leaders Arsenal. Manager Unai Emery is currently keen to add new players to his squad.
But one of them could be a familiar face in striker Tammy Abraham. The England frontman spent the first half of the season with Besiktas and is reportedly close to returning to Villa Park. Yasin Ozcan reportedly intends to go in the opposite direction.
Toby Collier to Hull City
Manager Michael Carrick has indicated that Man United will not make any major additions in the current period, but a move has not been ruled out. Toby Collier could leave Old Trafford and join Championship side Hull City on loan.
He previously played for West Bromwich Albion, but injury saw his stint at the Hawthorns interrupted before he was recalled.
