Bruno Fernandes has attracted interest from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, as well as clubs in Saudi Arabia, with offers from three teams including Manchester United.
Manchester United’s treble hero Teddy Sheringham has implored Bruno Fernandes to stay at the club. The current captain is attracting attention not only from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, but also from Saudi Arabia.
Despite rumors swirling about his future, the 31-year-old has been a consistent performer at United, establishing himself as an integral part under several managers. Michael Carrick has become the club’s newest head coach, taking over as interim head coach and tasked with returning the club to Europe.
United find themselves in a good position for the second half of the season after a 2-0 win over Manchester City, leaving them just one point behind Liverpool in the race for Champions League qualification. Fernandes has scored five goals and provided nine assists in the Premier League this season.

ESPN broke the news on Wednesday regarding Fernandes’ future at United. The club are said to be planning to negotiate a contract extension before this summer’s World Cup.
Sheringham believes United will have to move all heaven and earth to keep the Portugal international. But he admitted that if an attractive offer came along, it would be difficult to refuse.

The former centre-forward spoke exclusively to the Manchester Evening News via BetMGM.
“At the moment he is at full strength and still playing great football. He is a player we would like to keep because we don’t want to lose too many Manchester United players who are playing at the top.”
“But again, if you’re offered crazy money by the Saudis, you have to consider it, because you can do that. With big money, you can revamp your team.”
“He’s probably had his best performance over the last three years. It’s not hard to say that because there are a lot of players who have underperformed.
“His stock is still very high because he is a top player, he keeps scoring goals and he leads by example on the football pitch. That’s why I want to keep Fernandes.”
As previously revealed by talkSPORT, Fernandes is among 50 players targeted by the Saudi Professional League as part of their upcoming transfer offensive. Last summer, Pro League players Al Hilal, Al Ittihad and Al Nasr expressed interest, and it is reported that each club is currently considering new signings to sign Fernandes.
The United captain has already spoken out about last summer’s speculation this season. Fernandes felt that the club was open to him moving to Saudi Arabia for a proposed contract during the summer and expressed that he was “hurt”.
“I felt that the club said to me, ‘If you leave, it won’t be so bad for us.’ I was a little hurt. More than hurt, I was sad. I’m a player that no one can criticize. I’m always ready and I’m going to do my best.”
“I could have left during this transfer window and I would have earned more. I could have won many trophies this season, but I decided not to go, not just for family reasons, but because I love the club with all my heart.”
