Following Monday’s draw, Aston Villa and Newcastle take the lead in the headline match of the FA Cup fourth round. The draw was held ahead of Liverpool’s match against League One side Barnsley, and determined who each club would play next.

The winner of Monday’s fixture will face Brighton, who finished Manchester United’s FA Cup run at the first checkpoint. The Reds’ Premier League rivals also know the next hurdle they must clear on the road to Wembley.

Premier League leaders Arsenal overcame a slight scare to beat Portsmouth 4-1 on Sunday and will next face Wigan at the Emirates. Meanwhile, Chelsea defeated Championship side Charlton Athletic 5-1 at the weekend to earn an away trip to Hull City.

Manchester City secured a record-breaking 10-1 victory over League Two side Exeter City at the Etihad Stadium and are set to face either Salford City or Swindon Town. Newcastle face Aston Villa after a thrilling 3-3 draw with Bournemouth, winning on penalties.

Leeds will now play Championship side Birmingham City. 2021 winners Leicester will face Southampton after a 2-0 win over Cheltenham Town.

Macclesfield defeated holders Crystal Palace on Saturday, securing perhaps the biggest upset in the competition’s history. Their next game is at home to Brentford.

Wrexham, on the other hand, will be aiming to write a new Hollywood story against Ipswich, who defeated Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on penalties.

There is still one game left after the showdown between Liverpool and Barnsley. Salford City host Swindon Town next Tuesday night.

All matches in the fourth round will be played over the weekend of Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th February 2026. The choice of TV will be decided in due course.
