Manchester City lost 3-1 to Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League on Tuesday, meaning Josep Guardiola’s side have won just two of their last seven games.
Josep Guardiola has admitted that “everything is going wrong” for Manchester City, days after he was expected to step down as manager this week. City suffered a shock 3-1 defeat to Norwegian side Bod/Glimt in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Wednesday’s result could mean Guardiola’s side miss out on automatic qualification for next week’s final match. City’s defeat came in the Manchester derby against arch-rivals United, who they won 2-0.
The Premier League title contenders are currently winless in five of their last seven games in all competitions. “Today was a great chance for us, but everything is not going well and many points are against us,” Guardiola admitted after the defeat in the Arctic Circle, in which Rodri was sent off and City were reduced to 10 men.
“That is a fact and we have to try to change that. The players were there and we tried. There is no doubt that nothing can be taken for granted in this competition, that’s for sure. United were better than us (Saturday) and today the momentum punished us.”

His comments came after presenter Richard Keys theorized that Guardiola would not be in charge for Saturday’s home game against Wolves. “I think he left at the end of the season for sure,” Keys began on beIN Sport.
“But don’t rule out the possibility of him being out this week. This week. If he is out this week, (Enzo) Maresca will be in charge against Wolves.”
“City will have a stroke and of course they will deny it, but in his head they are telling him to leave this week. He often does things like this so you can’t read into him too much, but this time he can.”

In the match against Bodo, City played a makeshift defense, with injuries being a factor in their struggles. Guardiola is currently without centre-backs Ruben Dias, John Stones and Josko Gvardiol, as well as right-back Matheus Nunez.
City brought in Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace to strengthen their backline, but he will not be eligible until the knockout phase of the Champions League. Guardiola confessed: “We arrived in some departments without important players… We are a little vulnerable.”
