Brooklyn’s scathing comments have torn the Beckham family apart, with David’s former Manchester United teammate John O’Kane giving his take on the feud.
David Beckham’s former Manchester United teammate John O’Kane has said his son Brooklyn should be prioritized over ‘Brand Beckham’, given the family feud. The 26-year-old released a scathing statement on Instagram on Monday, leaving his family in turmoil.
In it, he claimed that his parents approached the press, suggesting that they controlled the narrative about his family. He also suggested they were trying to “ruin” his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz.
Brooklyn also suggested that Victoria “hijacked” the wedding’s first dance and danced “inappropriately” on him, and that he was asked to sign the deed without his name.
O’Kane, a former United star and former teammate of Beckham, has chosen sides in the feud and insisted the revelations were not a total surprise to him.

he wrote on Twitter. “I lived with Beckham for several years and I would say he liked total control and was obsessed with perfection.
“If Brooklyn had to say this and burn down a so-called perfect family. No matter what happened, Brand Beckham should never be in front of the kids!!”
Brooklyn’s allegations came in a lengthy post on her Instagram Story. In it he writes: “My family values public promotion and support above all else.
“The Beckham brand comes first. A family’s ‘love’ is defined by how much they post on social media, even at the expense of their professional obligations, or how quickly they drop everything and show up and pose for a family photo shoot.”
“For years, we have worked hard to support and show up at every fashion show, every party, every press event to show ‘our perfect family.’ But when my wife asked for my mom’s help in rescuing evacuated dogs during the Los Angeles fires, my mom refused.
“The story about my wife controlling me is completely the opposite. I’ve been controlled by my parents most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. Ever since I was separated from my family, that anxiety has disappeared for the first time in my life.”
“I wake up every morning grateful for the life I have chosen, and I feel peace and relief. Neither my wife nor I want a life shaped by images, press, or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy, and happiness for ourselves and our future families.”
