Mikel Arteta insists Arsenal should be confident of their winning streak, citing the fact they remain in contention for four trophies this season.
Mikel Arteta has insisted that Arsenal’s consistency means he should be “very confident” they can compete on all four fronts against the Gunners as they look to decisively end their trophy drought.
The club has not won a silver medal since 2020, but is poised to win multiple honors this season. The North Londoners beat Chelsea in midweek to take pole position and book their place in the Carabao Cup final, taking a 3-2 lead over Emirates in the second leg.
They also comfortably defeated Portsmouth in the third round of the FA Cup and are now top of both the Premier League and Champions League. Arsenal have won eight of their last 10 games and Arteta believes this result should give them faith in what they can achieve.
“Well, I think we are building very good momentum and that confidence comes from the level of performance and consistency we have shown through 32 games already this season and what we did yesterday at Stamford Bridge.
“That should help us believe that we have the ability to do it. But the reality is we have to show it in every match and we still have a lot of work to do. But I’m happy that we’re still alive with four competitions to go.”

No British team has ever completed a quadruple, and only two teams have completed a triple. Arsenal were relentless for much of the season, establishing themselves as one of Europe’s most impressive teams. Domestically, they have always enjoyed a buffer zone at the top.
Currently six points behind Manchester City, Pep Guardiola’s side face Arsenal on Sunday. They head to Manchester United, who are clear favorites to win the title and could close within three points of the leaders, which is nothing to do with Arteta.
He said: “As I’ve always said, every season is usually the same. Usually we don’t play at the same time, maybe only in the Champions League, and that happens more often. But that’s why I’m just more focused than ever on what I have to do, on the task in front of me. That’s it.”
Arsenal travel to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, where Arteta has only won once in four games. Despite being at the bottom of the league table, the Spaniard knows he faces a tough task.
He said: “It’s very tough to win away from the Premier League. They’re a team that they’ve built over the last few years and they’ve done a lot of right things to be a really good team and they’ve proven that they’re different to other teams, they’re very efficient, they have a very clear identity. That’s what makes them so dangerous.”
