‘100% speculation’ – Chelsea manager Maresca denies link with Man City

Newcastle United will face Chelsea at St James’ Park in their final Premier League fixture before Christmas.
The Magpies suffered a heavy 1-0 defeat to Sunderland in their final league game, with the result extending their winless record against their nearest rivals to 10 Premier League games.
Head coach Eddie Howe suddenly apologized for the result and performance in the post-match press conference.
Newcastle bounced back with a 2-1 win over Fulham in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night and will be looking to get back to their winning record in the league when they face Chelsea.
Blues head coach Enzo Maresca cryptically claimed he had endured the “worst 48 hours” in charge of Chelsea shortly after their 2-0 win over Everton.
They have since defeated Cardiff City 3-1 to reach the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
Maresca has also been linked with reports of a possible departure from Manchester City should Pep Guardiola leave next summer. But Maresca dismissed that as “pure speculation.”
