Although the home team took the lead three times in this match, they were content to settle for just one point and missed the chance to level with fourth-placed Chelsea.
Speaking at full-time, Amorim said: “It’s a real shame. It’s a real shame. It’s a crazy game. In the end we should have been rewarded more. It was an enjoyable game for everyone at home.”
“Especially the people at Old Trafford want to win but they also want to be inspired by watching their team play good football and we did that well in certain moments.
“It was a good performance but we created too many chances so we need to be more clinical.
“(Senne) Lamence did a really good job. There were chances on both sides. We created more chances, but things like this happened many times, so we need to find a way to finish the game.”
“It’s part of the process. We do the best we can, but sometimes it’s not enough.”

There were 39 shots throughout the game, 18 of which were on target, with both teams converting nine shots each.
United had the upper hand early on and went into half-time leading 2-1, but Amorim believes they could have had a bigger advantage at half-time.
He said: “It may look like we lost two points in the second half, but I think we lost them in the first half.
“We took the lead and created so many chances. We should have gone into half-time with a different result.”
United took the lead in the 13th minute when Amad Diallo scored from close range.
Bournemouth equalized through a fine solo goal from Antoine Semenyo, but Casemiro’s header restored the hosts’ advantage just before half-time.

However, the visitors turned the game around just seven minutes into the second half, with Evanilson scoring before Marcus Tavernier’s free-kick found the bottom corner.
Bruno Fernandes responded with a free kick of his own and leveled the scores once again with a sublime shot into the top right corner.
Matheus Cunha made it 4-3 just two minutes later, but Amorim’s side were forced to settle for a point as Junior Crupi restored parity in the 84th minute.
Bournemouth came close to winning late in stoppage time, but David Brooks’ header was saved at the feet of Sene Lamence.

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola told Sky Sports afterwards: “It’s hard to explain. I think it was a great game for a neutral country.”
“We had everything. Moments where we thought we lost. Moments where we thought we had this, we were comfortable. At the very end, we had two clear chances in the last minute and we thought we could win this.”
“We are two teams that play very aggressive and open, and our offense was probably a lot better than our defense today.
“I didn’t even know if we were happy with the game being over or if we were happy with giving them another minute.”
The draw leaves United sixth in the league, level on points with Crystal Palace in fifth, Liverpool in seventh and Sunderland in eighth.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth are currently without a win in seven league games, but have moved up to 13th place ahead of Brentford and Fulham.
Iraola’s side will be hoping to end a long battle for three points with a home draw against Burnley on Saturday, while Manchester United travel to in-form Aston Villa on Sunday.
