Julian Timber’s availability for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Wolves remains uncertain, with Mikel Arteta revealing the decision will depend on the defender’s mood. The 24-year-old picked up a bruise during the defeat to Aston Villa and was subsequently ruled out of Wednesday’s Champions League match against Club Brugge. “They (Calafiori and Timber) had problems at the weekend, two really bad kicks and it was too early for Julien,” Arteta explained at the time.
Timber is the latest injury on the defensive end, following injuries to Cristian Mosquera, Gabriel and William Saliba. As a result, Arteta was forced to use midfielder Christian Norgaard in central defense against Brugge. In a press conference on Friday, the Spanish manager suggested that Timber’s availability for the trip to Molineux remained in doubt.
