Mo Salah is ‘enemy in the dressing room’ after shocking report on Liverpool issue | Mo Salah is ‘enemy in the dressing room’ Football | Sports

Although regarded as a role model and one of the leaders in the Liverpool dressing room, BILD’s sensational report suggests Wertz’s status as the team’s future is at the heart of Salah’s animosity. The report also labeled the forward an enemy within the Reds’ locker room.

Salah has been relegated to the bench in the last three league games and has started in all of them, but reportedly did not get along well with the competitive Egyptian player. Liverpool are said to have known for some time that Salah has the biggest ego at the club, but given his incredible goal and assist record, it was accepted. However, the report adds that if the level of the winger’s final product declines, the support he would enjoy from the club would no longer exist.

The report goes on to suggest that his harsh comments about the club show a lack of consideration for his team-mates, which is underlined by Wirtz’s silence on the criticism he faced as his career at Anfield began to decline. It’s been just eight months since Salah signed a new two-year deal that extends his stay at Liverpool until 2027, but questions remain as to whether the club legend has red-shirted for the last time.

Liverpool’s £450m summer spending spree appears aimed at preserving Salah’s longevity by providing additional attacking support for the club’s Premier League record goalscorer. Nevertheless, disappointing performances from Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak following their big move to Merseyside have left Liverpool with much of the attacking fluidity that powered them to a commanding league victory just a few months ago.

During Jamie Carragher’s eight-minute tirade on Monday Night Football about Salah’s comments after the game against Leeds, the Sky Sports pundit claimed Salah was “disappointed” by not setting up Wirtz for what would have been an easy tap-in during the 22-year-old’s struggle in the 5-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in October.

Carragher said: “In my eyes, his real disappointment was in the other game against Frankfurt this season, where you have Florian Wirths, a guy who signed for Liverpool who need goals more than anyone else. Instead of being a great player for the club, you should be a great ambassador for the club, roll the ball to him for an easy tap-in, go up to him and give him a hug and say, ‘You’re the one to take this’.” Liverpool team forward. I don’t need any more goals.”

In his comments at Elland Road, Salah admitted he was unsure of what lay ahead for him after returning from January’s African Cup of Nations. “I couldn’t believe I was sitting on the bench for 90 minutes,” the 33-year-old said. That’s the third time. I think this is the first time in my career.

“I’m very disappointed. I’ve done a lot for this club over the years, especially last season. It’s like the club has thrown me under the bus. That’s how I feel. Someone is trying to put all the blame on me. made a lot of promises to me. Now that I’m on the bench, I can say they haven’t kept those promises. I had a good relationship with[Slot]. Now I don’t know why. It seems like someone doesn’t want me in the club.

“I called my mum and dad and told them to come to the Brighton game. It doesn’t matter if I play or not, I’m going to have fun. I’m just going to Anfield before the Africa Cup of Nations and saying goodbye to the fans because you never know what’s going to happen there. I don’t accept that it’s fair. If I were anywhere else, every club would protect their players. Now it’s ‘throw Mo under the bus, he’s a player’.”There are problems within the team. ”
