Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw with West Ham in the Premier League on Thursday night.
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim will hold a debriefing session with his players on Friday following Thursday night’s disappointing 1-1 draw with West Ham in the Premier League.
The Red Devils took the lead in the second half with a superb shot from Diogo Dalot inside the box. However, the Hammers were unable to hold on to all three points as Sungutu Magassa equalized late on at Old Trafford.
Amorim’s side remain eighth in the table, level with Liverpool and Brighton on 22 points. As it stands, they are just two points clear of the top four, but this has done little to silence accusations that United have fallen behind in recent games after such a good run, much to the frustration of their manager.

In Thursday’s post-match press conference, a rather acerbic Amorim addressed these claims, while also confirming his plans to brief the players once the situation is over.
A calmer, more measured approach has been taken since last season, when the United manager was found to have damaged the TV screen in the dressing room when he heavily criticized his players after the defeat to Brighton in January.
“I’m almost always consistent in that regard,” Amorim explained to the media. “I had one too. You know, Brighton last year. I’ll talk to them tomorrow.”
West Ham’s draw follows a mixed result, with United losing 1-0 at home to Everton despite the visitors being reduced to 10 men early in the game. However, they bounced back brilliantly at the weekend to come from behind to beat Crystal Palace at home.
Amorim admits the team is too inconsistent at the moment, but dismissed the idea that they are going backwards after appearing to have turned a corner early in the campaign. “It’s not going backwards,” he added.
“The results are going backwards. We had some moments. It can happen. You said that when we played that game, the team was really perfect and we are not far from a perfect moment.
“We’re really inconsistent. But if you look at the goal, in the 83rd minute, we had long balls, we controlled everything, and we need to get better.”
United are back in action this weekend, taking on struggling Wolves. The Midlands club sit bottom of the table with just two points from their 14 league games so far this season.
The Red Devils will be hoping to use this opportunity to regain their place in the race for the top four before difficult tests against Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Newcastle at the end of the month.
