Laura Woods’ fiancé, Love Island star Adam Collard, has provided an update after the ITV presenter collapsed during a broadcast of England Lionesses. Woods was captured by pundits Ian Wright and Anita Asanta, at which point the coverage cut to an ad break.
The 38-year-old presenter collapsed on the floor at Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium before England Women’s game against Ghana. Adam, 30, wrote a reassuring message to his supporters, simply saying: “Laura is okay and is with the right people. Thank you for your kind messages,” before ending with a white heart emoji.
When coverage resumed, ITV colleague Katie Shanahan took over for Woods and confirmed the presenter had become “ill” and was being treated by doctors.
“As you may have noticed, we are without the wonderful Laura Woods. She just got sick. But she’s in great shape, so I’ll be filling in for her belatedly,” Shanahan said.
ITV has not yet provided an official update.
Woods had just returned to broadcasting duties with TNT Sports this year after missing 13 weeks on maternity leave. She gave birth to a son in January of this year.
Corrado, who has appeared on various editions of Love Island, confirmed the birth of baby Leo on Instagram. He wrote, “Leo Ernie Corrado, my son.”
He also shared photos on social media of his newborn child, Laura in the hospital, and his dog encounter in the image gallery.
The engaged couple have been dating since 2023, after Adam left the Love Island villa for the second time. He proposed in September 2024, with Adam popping the question on a beach in St Ives, Cornwall.
Woods is a fan-favorite presenter who left talkSPORT and previously hosted Sky Sports’ World Darts Championship, splitting duties between ITV and TNT.
