FPL managers have rapidly turned things around between GW13 and GW14, with the latest round of the Premier League set to begin this evening. And the leaders will be sweating over the fitness of many key players.
GW14 begins with Bournemouth taking on Everton and Manchester City taking on Fulham. Premier League leaders Arsenal host Brentford on Wednesday, with Chelsea and Liverpool also playing on the same evening. Manchester United welcome West Ham to Old Trafford on Thursday. Express Sport also brings you the latest FPL injury news.
Gabriel Magalhães
Gabriel was forced to leave Brazil’s friendly match against Senegal during the international break in November with an adductor injury. He has missed Arsenal’s last three games and is not expected to take part in the visit of Brentford, with Gunners manager Mikel Arteta admitting before the game: “He is feeling very well but it will take a few weeks.”
William Saliba
Arteta was more optimistic when speaking about Gabriel’s centre-back partner William Saliba. Saliba suffered a bruise during training on Saturday and missed Sunday’s 1-1 match against Chelsea.
The Frenchman was tested on Monday and Arteta explained: “This is another very strange test, but I hope it will clear up in the next few days. I can’t help you much today as I have another training session.”
Matheus Cunha
Matheus Cunha has missed Manchester United’s remaining two games after sustaining an injury in training last month.
However, the Brazilian forward revealed in a post on social media that he is feeling well again and will be in contention to feature against West Ham. The player posted a snap of himself training on Instagram with the caption: “Back, back, back.”

Morgan Gibbs-White was sent off late in Nottingham Forest’s defeat to Brighton at the weekend.
But Forest manager Sean Dyche is confident the attacker will be back on the pitch to face his former club Wolves on Wednesday.
“He came down with a bruise so we expect him to be okay,” Dyche said ahead of the trip to Molineux. “He was tested today and is feeling a little bit better, so we hope he will be ready for selection.”
Ismaila Saar
Crystal Palace star Ismaila Sarr will also not be as lucky as Gibbs-White, as he was sidelined with an injury problem at the weekend. The attacker played just 37 minutes against Manchester United and was sent off after sustaining an ankle injury following a challenge from Diogo Dalot.
After the game, Eagles coach Oliver Glasner explained, “We all need to evaluate him further, but his ankle is quite swollen, so he’s going to miss a few games.” Glasner also revealed that Sarr may not be able to play again before the African Cup of Nations begins just before Christmas.
