Amorim praises United’s strength
It was a strong end to a disastrous week for the Red Devils manager.
“In the second half we had more intensity, we played better and our opponent was more tired, so it all came together.
“It’s little things, but the way Josh controlled the ball in the second half was different, the way he defended the second ball was different. So those little things are going to make a difference, and then we scored two goals because of the talent up front.”
“(Set-pieces) are very important in our league because it’s difficult to play against every opponent. And to score goals, to take the lead in the game, to give the team confidence, you can feel it from throw-ins, free-kicks and corner-kicks. (In) the Premier League, if you don’t work on set-pieces, you’ve already lost the game.”
“Scoring goals is very important for a striker. He (Zirkusee) doesn’t play a lot, but his reaction in the second half is really important, more important than just the goal. The small details are very important for our game and the goal is really important for the team and for him.”
“It’s important to win every game and today we proved once again that if we don’t just play the same way, but increase the way we fight for every ball, with the details, the certainty of our passes, the movements, and work on it at a different pace, we can beat any team.”
