Victoria Beckham is the world’s richest WAG and boasts her fortune independent of Manchester United legend Sir David. The former Spice Girls sensation has a net worth of £500m, according to the Sunday Times Rich List for 2025, but this figure is supplemented by income from her husband’s footballing career and subsequent club ownership business.
This impressive wealth has been amassed through multiple avenues, including a fashion empire, shareholdings in football clubs such as Inter Miami and Salford City, and various other business activities. Victoria enjoyed her celebrity status before she met her future husband and married in 1999, when David was a new talent at United.
The Spice Girls ranked among the world’s most sensational girl groups of their time, and the WAGs generated significant income through music royalties and publishing deals.
The 51-year-old went on to launch her own fashion and beauty empire, but success wasn’t immediate.
In fact, the WAG revealed in the revealing documentary ‘Beckham’ that her husband David refused to inject further funds into the brand until its fortunes improved after a £66m loss.
Victoria said: “It was a very dark time because I lost almost everything. I felt like a firefighter and cried every day before going to work.”
“We were tens of millions in the red. Yes, I’m going home to my husband, but I’m also going home to my business partner. So I was going to tell him about it. I had to. He was invested. And I hated it. I absolutely hated it.”
Reflecting on his wife’s initial financial struggles, David revealed: “She was much richer than I was. In fact, she bought our first house in Hertfordshire, known as Beckingham Palace.
“So she had to come to me and say, ‘Can you give me some money? I need some more money. The business needs more money.’ It was tough for both of us. I didn’t have the money to continue this, so ultimately I thought, ‘I can’t continue this.'”
Since then, this power couple has gone from strength to strength and continues to be football’s golden couple.
The former Manchester United star was recently knighted for his services to sport and charity, with Victoria proudly by his side.
Sir David expressed his pride, saying: “I couldn’t be more proud. People know how patriotic I am. I love my country. I’ve always said how important the monarchy is to my family.”
“I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the world, but all people want to talk about is our monarchy. That makes me proud.”
