Liverpool are planning a January move for Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenho, which could mean one of the Reds’ stars looks to leave Anfield to ensure he earns time on the pitch.
The Italian giants are once again in the hunt for Liverpool ace Federico Chiesa, with AC Milan, Inter Milan and Roma all interested in bringing the winger back to Serie A in January.
Chiesa, 28, signed for Liverpool from Juventus in what looked like a bargain deal in the summer of 2024, but the Italy international has yet to establish himself at Anfield. He struggled to break into Arne Slott’s side as Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool surged to the title.
The former Fiorentina star has scored two goals and provided one assist in just 139 minutes this season. Of the nine Premier League games he has appeared on the pitch, Chiesa is yet to start in that division.
The attacker’s path onto the pitch has become even easier with the addition of Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike to the slot team in the summer. And with Liverpool’s current struggles, Chiesa still finds it difficult to get playing time.
According to reports in Italy, both Milan clubs are leading the race to sign Chiesa. They are understood to view Chiesa, who has a proven track record in Serie A, as a player who can immediately add depth to their attack.

The move could help Chiesa get more playing time ahead of the World Cup if Italy qualify. However, the attacker appears to have been excluded from the team in the qualifying round.
“You know this very well,” Italian national team coach Gennaro Gattuso told Sky Italia. “You always ask the same question. I call Chiesa. I call him every time before the international break.
“It’s not about Gattuso or his coaching staff. It’s about him. It’s not about us. You know that. You keep asking me the same questions and I keep giving you the same answers.”
But Chiesa’s task at Anfield could soon become even more difficult. Liverpool are said to be in “concrete negotiations” to sign Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo. The Cherries winger could be signed in January in a deal worth up to £65m. The slot side faces competition from rivals Manchester United, but Manchester City are watching the situation unfold.
Andoni Iraola doesn’t want to give away a potential transfer sooner than necessary. “We’re in November,” he said last week.
“Antoine is our player and will continue to be our player. You can ask me in January about the January market, but at the moment I’m not worried about the next market.”
“Especially in August, as you know, in January, when the market is open, I don’t want to talk about it, but now is not the time. It’s November. I’m more concerned about the situation of the players who are going to play tomorrow, the short term, what’s really important. And in January, no matter what happens, we’re going to talk about the players that we need. But that’s not what I’m worried about today.”
