Josep Guardiola admitted he was “embarrassed” by his actions after Manchester City lost 2-1 away to Newcastle United.
“When I see that, I feel embarrassed and embarrassed,” Guardiola said. “I didn’t like it. I apologize to the photographer.
“I am me. Even if I play 1000 games, I am not a perfect person and I make mistakes. I will protect my team and my club.”

The City manager appeared irritated by key decisions in the game, including referee Samuel Barot’s call for a penalty against Phil Foden being waved away and a foul on Gianluigi Donnarumma in the build-up to Newcastle’s second goal.
Guardiola admitted: “We have lost four out of 12 games, so we need to improve a lot.” “Mathematically it is possible to win the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup, the Champions League and the Premier League.
“You guys are experienced journalists. Did you hear me talk about quads in November or December when we won quadruples? No, this case is no exception.”
Meanwhile, City defender Josko Gvardiol dismissed Saturday’s full-time drama as “normal”, adding that everyone at the club is “fighting for the badge”.
“I couldn’t understand what happened,” Gvardior admitted. “As you can probably guess… it’s normal for everyone to be frustrated after a game, especially when some things aren’t clear after the game or there are referee decisions that can’t be changed at the end of the game.
“What can we do? All we can do is complain. I think that’s normal, especially for the captain and the manager. We all fight for the badge for this club. If we miss it, what’s the point of competing, fighting and playing in this competition?”
