Arsenal 4-1 Tottenham: Eberechi Eze scored a stunning hat-trick in the north London derby as the Gunners moved six points clear at the top of the table.
Ebereshi Eze turned down Tottenham’s move to the Emirates in the summer and had already carved his name into Arsenal lore.
But this was the day he took his cult hero status to a whole new level with a hat-trick and a match-winning performance, cementing Arsenal’s authority in the overall title race.
Do you care about the gap? Not only did Arsenal embarrass Tottenham, they also moved six points clear of the leaders, seven points behind third-placed Manchester City and 11 points behind current champions Liverpool.
Blamey, imagine if Arsenal were without their best team. Although at least three key players – Gabriel, Victor Gokeres and Martin Odegaard – were left out of the starting lineup, there was still a difference in class.
Tottenham have been so poor apart from a short period after Richarlison’s incredible goal, it’s no wonder even the most loyal Spurs fans are grumbling about Thomas Frank.

Do they have the right people? Frank went into a back three and was defensive enough to cover both full-backs, but gave it up at half-time.
When we lost 2-0, several Tottenham players turned to the bench and displayed body language that seemed to say, “What do we do now?” They looked as if they had given up.
How could he have done against a player like Eze? He owned this game. He grabbed it by the scruff of his neck and let his unique blend of stardust shine across the pitch. he was sensational.
Eze, 27, has been in great form since his £67.5m move from Crystal Palace. There was a nice flash. But the summer hype was so great that it was always difficult to live up to those expectations right away.
However, this day was the day he showed his true self. He skated down the pitch. He not only showed great skill and awareness, but also his strength and power in goal.
Like a fairy tale, this was like a dream. Eze grew up an Arsenal fan and was released as a child, but has fought back to win the biggest games. What a hero!
By the time the final whistle sounded, the away side was almost deserted. Well done. They were unable to participate in the celebration. Arsenal fans lapped it up. Eze was at the center of the party. Bukayo Saka danced with love every minute.
This week is an important week for Arsenal. Arsenal were held to a draw in their last match against Sunderland after their main rivals were disqualified on Saturday. This was a test of their resolve. Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Chelsea. So far, so good.
They were overwhelmingly dominant in the first half, but it took them a while to break through. Mikel Merino, who replaced Gokeres, played with Leandro Trossard, who had time to turn and his shot was deflected by Micky van de Ven.
Just five minutes later it was 2-0. Julian Timber’s cross was only half cleared by Kevin Danso’s header, but a deft touch from Declan Rice allowed Eze to break through and his shot was well beaten away by Vicario and into the bottom corner.
It was no wonder that Frank changed from a three-back system and brought in Xavi Simmons in place of Danso.
However, Arsenal went up 3-0 after the restart. Timber’s through ball found Eze, who fired a stunning low shot into the bottom corner and past Vicario.
Arsenal then missed the mark. Martin Zvimendi was caught holding the ball. A great tackle from Joao Parinha won the ball and Richarlison’s incredible chip from inside the center circle found David Raya off the line. It was a goal that did not match the performance of the rest of the team.
But of course, it was Eze who ended the match. Trossard’s pass found Eze and his composure and class allowed him to evade the Spurs defense and slot his shot into the bottom corner.
