David Beckham did something no other guest did while dining at Gordon Ramsay’s house
David Beckham once showed kindness with a classy gesture at Gordon Ramsay’s dinner party. Beckham enjoyed one of the most legendary careers in English football, winning numerous accolades with Manchester United, including the 1999 Treble.
He went on to play for Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, before finally ending his playing career in his late 30s. Few athletes have reached the heights of fame and fortune like the former England captain through adventures off the field. Even fewer people would be considered down to earth and gentlemanly.
Beckham, 50, was finally knighted earlier this month in recognition of his services to sport and charity. After the service at Windsor Castle where he was knighted by Charles III, Beckham was photographed leaving his good friend Ramsay’s Michelin-starred restaurant in Chelsea.
The football legend met Ramsey in 2006, and the two celebrities’ friendship deepened after he moved to Los Angeles with his wife and child. Tash Pericic, former assistant manager to the superstar chef at London’s Michelin-starred Maze Grill, said Beckham was one of his regular customers there.
Perisic also recalled helping Ramsay prepare a private Christmas dinner at his home in London, where his interaction with Beckham left a lasting impression on him.

She explained in an interview with Insider that Ramsay was mostly friendly, aside from raging about some chairs, saying, “What do you say, this chair!? It’s so bad you can’t throw it in a bonfire!”
She added: “Gordon turned to us and said, ‘Relax, it’s not work, just have a glass of champagne and enjoy yourself,’ so we toasted Christmas Eve with Gordon.”
But Beckham’s politeness seemed to stand out even more than that. She went on to explain how the former Manchester United star was the only guest, accompanied by his wife Victoria, and introduced himself to the kitchen staff.
“It’s a small gesture, but it says a lot,” she said. Her anecdote shows his appreciation for his kindness towards staff who, despite his own fame and success, are under tremendous pressure in the hospitality field.
