Questions have been raised over Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham’s role in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad and whether he will be a key player at the World Cup following further headlines this week.
Manager Thomas Tuchel has been ordered to protect England superstar Jude Bellingham rather than hang him out to dry.
Tuchel has left the Real Madrid sensation out of his Three Lions squad ahead of October’s international match. And after Bellingham was recalled for recent World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, he once again found himself in the headlines for the wrong reasons. The midfielder was criticized for mumbling after being dragged off in a match in Albania.
He was also criticized for not celebrating Harry Kane’s goal during England’s 2-0 win. However, former Scotland manager Gordon Strachan has launched a staunch defense of Bellingham, telling Tuchel to do more to help Bellingham rather than incite media criticism.

Strachan told Esports News: “There was a lot of reaction to Jude Bellingham’s alleged reaction to coming on as a substitute on Sunday and not celebrating Harry Kane’s goal. But I think it’s wrong for that to be reported, especially when people don’t know the full story.”
“If Bellingham was dancing around after coming on, people would criticize him for not taking the game seriously enough! Whatever he’s doing now won’t go over well in the eyes of some fans and some media.
“You also have to remember that these international players are traveling away from their clubs and playing essentially for free for the managers and fans.
“Thomas Tuchel has to remember that too, their players are traveling all over Europe coming to play for you, so you have to protect them.
“Tuchel’s job is to protect his players, not to amplify criticism from some sections of the media. Mr. Tuchel, they are not just coming to play for you, they are playing for their families and their country.”
“They should not be criticized when they go on international assignments, they should be protected by their managers.”
