The November international break comes at the perfect time for Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta’s Premier League title-chasing side set to make timely additions.
Gabriel Jesus heads the list of big-name stars ready to give Arsenal a big boost to their title bid ahead of the testing period.
Gunners striker Victor Gokeres and England winger Noni Madueke are also hoping to be fit for Arsenal’s first game back after the international break on November 23, in the north London derby against Tottenham. They also hope to have captain Martin Odegaard and forwards Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli back on the desperate fixture list, as they have eight games in December.
This will test Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s side to their limits, with important matches in the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup quarter-finals before the new year. Brazilian star Jesus has returned to full training, with Arsenal looking set to play him during the international break.
This will be a big boost for Jesus, who has been out since January with a cruciate ligament injury but has made significant progress in his recovery in recent weeks. Jesus is determined to return to first-team action as soon as possible and has intensified his training and ballwork in preparation for one of the most difficult parts of the season.

Asked before the Sunderland game when Jesus would be able to play again, Arteta said: “I don’t know, but now it’s important to take steps day by day in a different environment.Obviously, he’s done everything himself. Now he has players around him, We’ve always had guys that are competitive and we’ll see how they deal with that. But he’s full of energy. I loved the reaction of all of his teammates when he first joined us, and yeah, it’s great to have him.” Go back. ”
Arsenal will also have a busy week after the international break, as they face Tottenham on November 23rd and then face Chelsea the following Sunday.
Gokeres played against Burnley with a muscle tweak – believed to be a hamstring issue – but is expected to be fit for the north London derby and Maduke is confident he will be ready. Brazil star Martinelli also missed the last two games (the draw against Sunderland and the win against Slavia Prague) due to injury, but is close to returning.
Odegaard is also hoping to return from his knee injury and the Arsenal captain will be a key asset for Arteta, who will play two games a week throughout December. Havertz has been out since August with a knee problem, but is making progress in his recovery and is expected to return within the next month.
Arsenal’s winning streak ended with a draw at Sunderland on Saturday, as they lacked a game-changing attacking option off the bench. However, Arsenal are now closer to seeing their big star back to full fitness.
