Marcus Rashford has had a bright start to life at Barcelona since leaving Manchester United, but there is one persistent problem that continues to plague the English star.
Marcus Rashford believes he has more goals to achieve despite his excellent start to life at Barcelona. The on-loan Manchester United forward joined the Catalan giants in the summer until the end of the season.
And he got off to a great start with his temporary employer. Rashford scored in a 3-1 win over Elche last weekend, taking his tally to six goals and seven assists in 14 appearances in all competitions.
Despite this, Rashford believes he could have done better with better decision-making. Rashford told reporters: “I’m just trying to do the right thing on the pitch.” “Even today, we could have had more assists and goals, but there were times when we made bad decisions on shots and passes.
“But I’m going to have days like this. It’s always the team that matters and today we won, so I’m happy about this.”
“My focus isn’t so much on results. I know that if I’m doing the right things, I can always score or assist. My focus is on building a relationship with the team and feeling comfortable.”

And while Rashford is hoping to develop further, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has given his verdict and agrees with the forward. Speaking after the weekend’s match, the German said: “Seeing he has the chances, another goal or two would be good for him.
“But, of course, we can be happy with him. I’m very happy with him. He can play at this level and I’m happy to show that. He’s a very important player for the fans, for the club and for his teammates.”
Rashford will be looking to build on his form next week as Barcelona face a busy fixture list. The Spanish giants will face Belgian side Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday, before taking on Celta Vigo in the league.

Flick will be looking for plenty of wins as Barcelona are already slowing down in the race for the league title. They already find themselves five points behind strong rivals Real Madrid.
The club are also making decisions about Rashford’s future. They have the option to sign him on a permanent basis at the end of the season for a fee of around 30 million euros (approximately £26.2 million).
