Manchester United endured their worst start to the season under manager Ruben Amorim, but the former Red Devil believes they can challenge for the Premier League title following an eye-catching comeback.
Former Manchester United star Louis Saha believes the Red Devils can challenge for the Premier League title under manager Ruben Amorim. United have endured a rollercoaster season so far under the Portuguese manager.
They had a terrible start to the season, but have turned their fortunes around by winning each of their last three league games. This leaves them sixth in the table, but they could move into the top four if they win against Nottingham Forest this weekend.
And former United forward Saha knows enough to believe Amorim can put together a title challenge at Old Trafford. Speaking to Covers.com, the Frenchman said:
“They’re building a strong team and they’re trying to get back to real competition with the teams that are always at the top, like Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City. So they’re there now. They have potential.”
“If they win the next few games, everything could change. So we never know. Let’s keep winning games and we’ll see. If they don’t do it this year, maybe they’ll gain confidence for next season. So, let’s see.”

The Red Devils’ current situation is in sharp contrast to earlier in the season, when Amorim’s status was in serious doubt. And Saha is confident United can build on that form against Nottingham Forest this weekend.
“It’s amazing,” he added. “As I’ve always said, the club and the players need time because we know the history behind them. It’s not easy for anyone to just arrive and continue that story.
“So we know there are big changes at the club, a lot of new players, new coaches, new staff, and everyone really needs to understand the size of the club, its history and how it has to adapt to continue its work.”

“Ruben Amorim is doing well. He is a great coach. We have a lot of talented players in the team, so we want to give them a little more time to adapt to the league and see how we can work together as a team and perform well every weekend.”
“Right now we’re in a good environment and in a good mode. We’ve won three and I believe we’ll win the fourth in the next match.”
“From there, we have a chance to build a stronger group of players who can perform every weekend.”
