Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard provided insight into his rehabilitation after being sidelined since early October with a knee injury, but the news was positive.
Martin Odegaard has revealed that he is making “significant progress” as he continues to recover from injury. The Arsenal captain has been using an anti-gravity machine in recent days for his rehabilitation.
Odegaard damaged the medial collateral ligament in his left knee in the game against West Ham United. The 26-year-old has not played since missing international duty and manager Mikel Arteta indicated the midfielder would be out for a number of weeks.
The 26-year-old is not expected to feature until after the November international break. As a result, Odegaard could have his side in mind for the North London derby against Tottenham on November 23rd.
The former Real Sociedad star has been plagued by a number of injuries, with a shoulder problem also keeping him out for the season. The Gunners ace is keen to return to active duty.
And Odegaard has shown that his rehabilitation is heading in the right direction as he becomes more mobile. That’s motivation for the playmakers.

“I would love to take part, but I am still recovering,” Odegaard said in Arsenal’s program notes. “It’s going well and I’ve made a lot of progress.
“I’ve been moving around more and have been running on anti-gravity machines this week. Coming to Sober it’s good to feel like it’s going in the right direction and I’m able to do more and more every day.”
“It’s a lot of work, but it’s nice to feel like I’m making progress. It gives me more motivation.”
Odegaard previously admitted that his injury was difficult to overcome. The Norwegian expects to return to the pitch for training to provide the best insight into a successful recovery.
“It’s difficult to set a return date with this kind of injury because, especially with the left foot, a lot depends on how things are when you start getting back on the pitch,” he said.
“It’s really hard to put a date on it because sometimes when I start passing the ball, shooting and doing things with that foot, it hurts quite a bit.
“All I can say is that things are going very well at the moment. I think we’ll know more once we start getting back on the training pitch and we’ll see how it goes. If it goes really well, it could be sooner.”
