Aaron Ramsey has left Pumas in Mexico with immediate effect after a traumatic few weeks following the disappearance of his dog Halo, who had been missing for more than three weeks.
Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has left Mexico and returned to the UK. This shocking development comes after a period of distress for the Welsh captain, who was deeply shaken by the disappearance of his dog Halo.
The pet has been missing for more than three weeks, having been abandoned at a ranch near where Ramsey, who joined Mexican team Pumas, lived. The 34-year-old man and his wife Coleen have publicly stated that they have been left traumatized by the mysterious series of events and feel cheated after the search for their missing 10-year-old dog failed to yield results despite a high reward offer.
Following Ramsey’s injury in late September, personal difficulties arose and the Wales international was forced to miss the World Cup qualifier against Belgium. He has since missed Pumas training sessions and speculation is mounting that he may be on the verge of leaving Mexico after a summer move that surprised many.

Numerous reports have now confirmed that Ramsey has mutually terminated his contract and is once again a free agent. He briefly served as caretaker manager of Cardiff City, while still at the club as a player, before leaving Wales for Mexico.
But less than six months later, the ill-fated move came to an end, with Mr. Ramsey’s future plans unclear. The midfielder was offering $20,000 (£15,000) to anyone who could help find his beloved beagle, who was last seen in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico.
Ramsey initially suffered a hamstring injury and has not featured for his new club since the 4-1 loss to the United States at the end of September. The setback ruled him out of the most recent international match against Wales, but he has also been kept away from club duties due to the search for his missing dog.
Rumors have been circulating in recent weeks about what happened to Halo, who Ramsay has owned for more than a decade, with his wife Colleen recently suggesting the dog may have been kidnapped after being abandoned at a local farm. Ramsey wrote on social media last week: “We have remained silent, trying to understand how a dog could be left behind on a farm and never seen again.
“Without any explanation? The cameras weren’t recording, the trackers couldn’t find her. There were no sightings, no bodies, just a bunch of lies.”
Asked about Ramsey’s situation after Sunday’s draw with Leon, coach Efrain Juarez said: “We are monitoring the situation. As I said on Wednesday, let’s see what happens in the next few days.”
“He is dealing with his situation, which we all know, involving his dog. There were also problems before he left during the FIFA holidays. So we will have to wait and see what happens in the next few days.”
