Alisson has missed Liverpool’s remaining four games after sustaining a hamstring injury in last month’s Champions League match against Galatasaray.
Alisson Becker has hinted at a possible return from injury for Liverpool. The Brazilian ace has missed the Reds’ last four games after sustaining a hamstring injury against Galatasaray last month.
Despite stepping in to fill the void left by Giorgi Mamadashvili, Liverpool’s form has been sluggish of late, with Arne Slott’s side losing five of their last six games.
Slott is expected to change his mind for Liverpool’s League Cup clash with Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, with third-choice Freddie Woodman likely to make his club debut.

This isn’t the first time Slot has had to make changes like this. They did the same in last season’s League Cup fourth round when Alisson was injured, with Caoich Kelleher taking over as first choice and Vitesslav Jaros given his full debut away to Brighton.
Alisson remains absent from Liverpool’s League Cup game against Palace, with Slott admitting before the weekend’s defeat to Brentford that the Brazilian’s recovery “will take a bit more time”, reports the Liverpool Echo.
As a result, there is no pre-match press conference scheduled ahead of the match against the Eagles, so it is unclear whether Alisson will be fit enough to return for games against Real Madrid and Man City, or whether Liverpool will have to manage without him until after the November international break.
However, Alisson has at least hinted that a return to active duty could be on the horizon after sharing an update on social media. The 33-year-old posted a photo of himself in the gym on his Instagram Story on Tuesday night, along with an emoji of a sandy hourglass and flexed biceps.
Meanwhile, Woodman has expressed excitement about potentially making his Liverpool debut on Wednesday night.
“I’m really excited about the opportunities that may come,” he told LFC TV. “I’ve been preparing, I’ve been preparing for every game I’ve played this season, and Wednesday night was no different for me.
“When I signed for this club, I hoped to play just one game. That was my dream, my ambition. So I hope it comes true on Wednesday night.”
“I really love going to work every day. I get to work in a great environment with the best players, the best staff. Why not come here and have fun?
“It’s been an interesting few months for me. I’m just really taking in everything I can and trying to learn and getting bits and pieces from all departments of the club. It’s been great.”
