Vinicius Junior groaned and apologized to Real Madrid fans on Wednesday after the angry reaction to his substitution against Barcelona, but there was a notable admission in his statement
Vinicius Jr. deliberately omitted an apology from Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso as the feud between the two continued. The Brazilian wrote a lengthy statement to Real Madrid supporters on Wednesday after his outburst against Barcelona.
After being replaced by Alonso, he was said to have become furious and said: “It’s always me, I’m leaving the team, it’s better if I leave.” He was also seen heading straight down the tunnel without informing his manager.
Vinicius said on social media a few days after the angry reaction: “Today I would like to apologize to all Madrid players for my reaction when I was substituted in the Clasico. I would like to apologize once again to my team-mates, the club and the president, just as I have already apologized directly during today’s training.”
“Passion sometimes gets the better of me because I always want to win and help the team. My competitive nature comes from my love for this club and everything it stands for.”
“I promise to continue to fight every second for the interests of Real Madrid, as I have done since day one.”

Fans noticed that Alonso was noticeably absent from the apology, but this time it became clear that his absence was intentional. According to The Athletic, the Brazilian winger sent Alonso off, saying he was “hurt” by the treatment he received from the Real Madrid manager.
And while Vinicius is angry with his manager, it has also been noted that he feels supported by the club. It has also been suggested that Real Madrid’s leaders are not particularly happy with the situation, with their star winger’s reaction and Alonso’s treatment of the player dissatisfied.
Vinicius will also reportedly be fined. Nevertheless, all parties certainly hope that the situation will be resolved in the coming days.
