Real Madrid beat Barcelona on Sunday, with Jude Bellingham scoring the winning goal, but a late melee sparked anger in the Spanish capital following a red card for the visitors.
Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham had a simple message for Barcelona after their side defeated their strong rivals in El Clasico on Sunday. “Story is cheap,” the England star wrote on social media, adding: “Jara Madrid Siempre” to underline his eternal pride in Los Blancos.
Bellingham set up Kylian Mbappé’s first goal for Madrid at the Bernabéu and scored his team’s second after Fermin López had briefly equalized for Barça. The hosts missed a big chance to extend their lead when Mbappe’s penalty was saved by Wojciech Szczesny, but it did not affect the result.
The game got heated towards the end, with players from both teams being sent off. Pedri was given a red for a second caution in the final minutes of stoppage time, while Madrid’s substitute goalkeeper Andriy Lunin was also given a red for a collision between players from both teams.

Bellingham’s winner leaves Madrid five points behind Barça after just 10 league games. Their only defeat in this season’s competition was against Atlético Madrid, a humiliating 5-2 result against their neighbors in September.
It was Barça’s second defeat in the last three league games, following a 4-1 upset by Sevilla. They also lost at home to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and will be hoping to put that loss behind them, so they will know there is little room for error.
“In the first half we were really decisive with the ball. Every time we had possession it ended with a good shot or something positive,” Bellingham said after the 2-1 win.
“In the second half we had more defensive work. When (Eder) Militao, (Dean) Huisen, (Alvaro) Carreras and (Dani) Carvajal came on, the performance was very good. But it was a great performance from the whole team.”
Regarding the winning goal, he added: “These are my favorite goals. A lot of people say it’s luck, but for me it’s the way I understand the game. When the ball goes everywhere, the position changes everything. And whenever it comes to me, I’m ready. Militão stuck his head into it, and I was there to score.”
Barcelona star Lamine Yamal had yet another difficult day, but manager Markus Sorg, who replaced suspended Hansi Flick, stood up for the teenager.
“It was not an easy match for Lamine. He was marked very well. We tried everything, but sometimes the defense did a good job,” said Sorg.
“You also have to understand that he is coming back from injury and is only 18 years old. If they protect him well, that could happen, but we know his potential.”
