Thomas Frank’s Tottenham host Unai Emery’s Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday, with Spurs aiming for their fifth win of the season in the Premier League.
Thomas Frank is still managing Tottenham Hotspur’s extensive injury list ahead of this Sunday’s home match against Aston Villa. The Premier League will resume after the international break and Tottenham will aim for back-to-back wins.
Matthijs Tell and Mohamed Kudus scored for the away team against Leeds United in their last game before the break. Over the past few days, Frank has been closely monitoring his players’ participation in international matches to avoid further injury setbacks.
Unfortunately, Yves Bissouma was not so lucky, injuring his ankle during an international mission with Mali. Bissouma appeared to be in severe pain and was taken off the pitch on a stretcher, which ruled him out.

A source close to the Mali national team told football.london that if all goes to plan, he is expected to be out for around two to three weeks.
Striker Dominic Solanke is still recovering from an ankle problem, with Frank confirming he underwent “minor surgery” at the end of September.
“It went well,” the Spurs manager said. “As I said in Bodo, we’ll know more about the time frame after the international break.”
Meanwhile, Randall Kolo Muani is close to returning after resuming training and could feature as soon as this weekend.
Kota Takai, who has been dealing with a plantar fascia issue, is back in full training and could feature against Villa.
Dejan Kulusevski continues to recover from a knee injury and his return to the pitch remains uncertain.
Frank emphasized his importance to the team, stating, “He’s an important key player for us. Rather than putting an exact month on his return, I just want him back as soon as possible.”
“I know the medical team and Dejan are working hard. It’s not tomorrow, but I hope it’s not too far away.”
Meanwhile, Radu Dragusin has made promising progress after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury. “His progress is good,” Frank admitted.
“He has been on the grass for three weeks and is progressing well, but it will be a few weeks before he is able to play.”
Long-term sideliner James Madison suffered a torn ACL before the season and is not expected to return until next summer. Madison has been sharing updates on her road to recovery on her YouTube channel.
