England manager Thomas Tuchel received a response from Three Lions fans after criticizing the home fans’ support during last week’s Wembley-Wales match.
England fans have responded to manager Thomas Tuchel after he criticized the atmosphere among the home fans at Wembley Stadium last week. The former Chelsea manager tore into the “silent” fans during the Three Lions’ 3-0 friendly win over Wales last Thursday night.
Tuchel’s side enjoyed a dominant night, taking a 3-0 lead within 20 minutes with Morgan Rodgers, Ollie Watkins and Bukayo Saka finding the back of the net.
And while Tuchel was happy with his team’s performance, he was far from satisfied with the support his players received at a packed Wembley venue. And England fans wasted no time in reacting to their manager during the opening stages of Tuesday night’s World Cup qualifier in Latvia.

“Thomas Tuchel, you can sing when you want to sing,” and “Thomas Tuchel, are we loud enough?” could be heard from the away supporters at Daugava Stadium.
England knew victory in Riga would ensure them a place in next summer’s World Cup finals, and they achieved that with a resounding 5-0 victory.
After booking their spots in America, Canada and Mexico, Tuchel was happy to praise the traveling England fans.
“The first half went well. We were fair enough and did well. We had a good sense of humour. Great support from start to finish.”
In that case, Tuchel’s side could have to wait a long time between their last game and the first game of their World Cup campaign. However, for Germans, this is not a problem they want to think about.
“It’s going to be a long break, but that’s the reality,” he said before the game. “The important thing is not to not dwell on the problem, but to find a solution and find a solution that will turn the situation around and perhaps give you an advantage.
“Right now I’m not thinking about November because a lot depends on whether we can fix the eligibility or not. So that’s where all the energy is going at the moment.”
“When I say we expect a win, I first of all expect a performance from us worthy of a winner. We are fully aware that winning a football match is never guaranteed. Too many things can happen.
“Luck and bad luck play a very big part in this game. But we are at a moment where we are expecting another game, another good performance and a great performance from us. And that should give us every chance to win. Then we will talk about the next steps before focusing on Latvia.”
