Former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane was involved in bust-ups at Oktoberfest, but he claims he was “provoked and personally humiliated.”
The traditional Munich festival is authentic, and after five years in Bavaria and Munich, Sane returned to town to enjoy the celebration. However, the Germans were involved in a brief skirmish with fans after aduring a group of Bayern supporters late Sunday night.
The incident occurred in a tent in the famous Weinzert around 11pm, Bild reports. When a group of fans began screaming about abuse, several witnesses claimed that Thane was walking in the tent. They chanted “ScheißGala!”
Some witnesses claim that some of the statements have crossed over racist territory. Winger first ignored the comment and tried to leave, but as the insult continued, he began to confront the individual group.
It started with a hot oral exchange, but the situation escalated quickly. One fan reportedly responded by pushing Thane and causing a brief brawl before security staff quickly separated the pair.

Thane confesses that his emotions have boiled, but he claims he has been pushed to the limit. He said: “I was provoked and personally humiliated in a festival tent for a long time. Galatasaray was also humiliated. In a tense atmosphere, I was pushed, then a brief battle broke out. Of course, I should have settled down at that point and ignored the situation.
The German winger was a huge success during his time at Allianz Arena, but the saga of the contract that was drawn out eventually saw him leave without doing anything and head to Turkey. The way you played it may have angered certain sections of your fanbase.
After a very effective period with City, Thane returned to his hometown where he won the back-to-back title. He signed during Pep Guardiola’s first summer after excelling at Schalke. In the UK, he was named PFA Young Player of the Year in 2018, earning individual acclaim.
He is now part of a gorgeously assembled Galatasarei outfit with Turkish outfits, randinf Victor Osimhen in a permanent summer deal. Sane is by no means a regular and was an unused sub during last week’s Landmark Champions League victory at Liverpool.
