Andre Onana struggled in two seasons with Manchester United before joining Turkish Trabzonspor on one season of loan, but his long-term future appears to be decided.
Andre Onana, who failed at Manchester United, appears to be ready for a permanent move to Trabzonspor, with the club leaders already considering a contract. The Cameroonian goalkeeper joined the Turkish team on seasonal loans at the end of the summer window.
It wasn’t until he left Old Trafford that he was roller coaster-like in two years at Old Trafford, after a high-profile error ruined his performance. Onana has enjoyed a more positive start to her life at the new club, having achieved two no-doubt records in her first four games.
In fact, Trabonspor doesn’t have the option to sign a full contract once Onana’s loan agreement expires, but it seems he still wants to keep him there. According to The Sun, the club’s leaders have already been in touch with the goalkeeper camp and have expressed their desire to sign a full contract with him.
Head coach Fati Teke is impressed by Onana’s performance, while also suggesting that his leadership qualities shine. Negotiations over a full contract with United are expected to take place after the season ends.
The Red Devils have paid £47 million for a deal with the Inter Milan native, but have yet to set the price for the full contract. Onana’s contract with United still has just under three years left.

He said about starting his life with his employers: “I’m so happy. I can say I’m very happy. I’m starting a new project, a new adventure for me. I’m so happy to be here. This makes me feel so happy.”
“I’ve never felt so much love from the people around me. It’s a wonderful feeling to be at home from the first moment.”
Trabzonspor Chairman Ertugrul Dogan has already made a statement about his permanent transfer. He states: “Onana has just joined us and we and our tech team are delighted.

“He’s a player who spent €65 million on the team, including bonuses. It’s impossible for Trabzonspor to move in that situation. If the technical staff are satisfied, they’ll know what they can do at the end of the year.”
The 29-year-old Onana played in 102 games for United. However, this season he lost popularity under manager Ruben Amorin, and Altai Baindir has replaced him.
His only appearance for the Red Devils this season was during his disastrous defeat to Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup. Sene Lamens, who signed in the summer, is likely to become United’s number one in the near future.
