Tottenham issued a statement to the London Stock Exchange to confirm that Brooklyn Arrick has no intention of making a solid offer to acquire the club. The tech entrepreneur, who failed to acquire Formula E team Maserati earlier this year, led a £3.3 billion acquisition proposal from a group of US investors, including NFL and NBA supporters. Reports say that an additional £1.2 billion has been allocated to head coach Thomas Frank.
However, following numerous social media posts on the matter, it has been revealed that there will be no official offers. On Monday, Tottenham issued the following statement: “The Tottenham Hotspur Board of Directors will note the recent announcement that it will not be offering an offer to the club from the Firehawk and Mr. Arrick’s consortium. We appreciate the board’s use of a constructive approach in discussions with the club and representatives of the Lewis family, and also respected the clear position of the Lewis family that the club is not for sale.”
“After the announcement by the consortium, the club is no longer offering period under the city ordinance on acquisitions and mergers.”
Mr. Arrick also submitted his own statement, saying, “In addition to the announcement of an informal expression of interest on the proposal to acquire the full amount of issued and expected to be issued by the Tottenham Hotspur Limited board of directors on September 26, 2025, Brooklyn Arrick has confirmed that he has no intention of making a firm proposal to the company.”
The latest update comes after last week’s news that the Asia-based coalition of investors led by Firehawk Holdings Limited has also confirmed that it will not bid on the Tottenham acquisition.
Earlier last month, Spurs announced that it had acquired the full amount of ENIC’s outstanding share capital from a consortium of investors led by Dr. Roger Kennedy and Dr. Wing Phi Ng through PCP International Finance Limited and Firehawk Holdings Limited, and has received and explicitly rejected a separate, preliminary expression of interest regarding future proposals issued.”
The PCP confirmed that it would not proceed with bidding immediately, and on Friday the Asia-based consortium led by Firehawk followed suit.
The Spurs have now completed three potential buyers who rejected Arrick’s unofficial approach and declined the formal offer.
This is just over a month since Daniel Levy, who has been with Tottenham for the past 24 years, resigned from his position as executive vice-president.
At the time, Levi reportedly said: “I am extremely proud of the work I have done so far, along with the management team and all of my employees. We have cultivated this club into a global leader who can compete at the highest level.”
“More than that, we’ve built a community, and I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the greatest people in the sport over the years, from the teams at the Lily White House and Hotspur Way to all the players and managers.
“I would like to thank all the fans who have supported me over the years. The journey so far has not always been easy, but there have been great progress. I will continue to support this club passionately.”
