Thomas Tushel tells anyone who is the boss, but Jude Bellingham Snub is an error

Thomas Touchel raised his eyebrows when his latest England team tried to develop a consistent environment in a three-person Lions camp and didn’t include Jude Bellingham of Fit Again

Thomas Touchel was unquestionable. This is his England. And if you don’t like it – you have to suck it.

It was a big call to rule out Jude Bellingham. But this goes far beyond that. It’s about Tuchel owning it, showing who is the boss, and trying to create a different environment.

And that means there are no many world class players in England, so it’s a massive gamble on Tuchel’s side. And Bellingham is one of them.

This notion of England’s rich talent has become a bit outdated. They certainly did – but are they now? Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and Harry Kane are undoubtedly the only world-class players on the team.

The defense looks older than it is now. They had an incredible back four of Kyle Walker, John Stones, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.

The Stones are still an option and still top class, but he will be 32 by next summer’s World Cup, but Walker has recently called and will not let him know he is not there.

Cole Palmer is a great player, but it’s a long way from being a regular in England, not to mention at Spain’s finest level.

Elliot Anderson seems like a good option to become the UK’s No. 6. However, he played two games. Anthony Gordon is excellent in the Premier League, but Phil Foden has lost his position on the team.

Morgan Rodgers was the guy in the Serbian match, but it’s hard to argue that he should be world class or be chosen before Bellingham.

Here is the particular irony that Rogers is a big companion with Bellingham and he has a great respect for his companion. And even Rodgers would have certainly admitted that he didn’t have the best season for Aston Villa.

Certainly, Tuchel made the mistake of excluding Bellingham, but one argument you can make with that big call is that he is trying to create a club atmosphere within the English setup.

Yes, under Gareth Southgate, under all the managers who followed the days when Liverpool and Manchester United creek split the dressing room in England, they’ve heard everything.

They all talk about good games and say that’s what they create – but fair to him, Chuchel actually came out with his limbs to make it happen.

That’s what he’s banking – the dressing room and teams that won 5-0 in Serbia as a group and the team spirit that will bring them to the US next summer.

England – Bellingham and even – are probably not among the two or three favorites to win it. It’s not Spain or Argentina. Germany and France did not trade English players either.

However, it is difficult to argue that England is anything but the next layer. He’s a real candidate, but not a red hot favorite.

To be fair, Tuchel was at his best in manager when he was able to develop the spirit of the team within the group. He did it at Chelsea and led them to the Champions League.

No one can doubt him as a coach, but he couldn’t create a dressing room unity with Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich had too many factions and politics.

Tuschel dropped Neymar and had problems with Adrian Rabiot and fell with Josh Kimic at Bayern. These are big names and personality. Still, he was not afraid to take over them. But if you enter into a fight, you have to win.

And excluding Bellingham is a big call, even if it sets a broader message of who is in charge.
