Liverpool’s struggle was appointed to missing Trent Alexander Arnold by experts Gary Lineker and Jamie Redknap

Gary Reinker supports the campaign’s comments from Jamie Redknap about Liverpool “lost” Trent Alexander Arnold. The Merseyside Club offloaded a right back to Real Madrid at the beginning of the summer window, bringing closure to months of relentless rumours.

Alexander Arnold was poised to leave Liverpool without a fee, but the conditions were realistically hit at the Defender exit before his contract was gone, allowing him to feature at the FIFA Club World Cup. The Reds then brought Jeremy Fripon to replace Alexander Arnold from Bayer Leberkusen, with right-back Connor Bradley remaining at Anfield.

On Saturday, Liverpool witnessed Chelsea 2-1 in the Premier League, marking a third straight loss in all competitions, Liverpool Echo reports. The Reds think that Alexander Arnold’s offensive contributions of the term are lacking, as it is a football podcast to talk about the rest.

“In terms of creativity, I think they really lack Trent (Alexander Arnold), just like anything else,” Reinker said.

“Before that, sometimes the torrents will move forward and they will probably be exposed defensively. But what he gives you the opposite is impossible to exchange.

“There’s no other player I can think of in world football where he can play that position (right back) in a way that offensively plays it.

“I also think Mo (Salah) is missing him. That connection they had.

“You have to say it’s worth his weight in the future gold, and I always say, “Stop worrying about him (Alexander Arnold) making strange little mistakes defensive.”

Lineker’s observations reflect what Redknapp made over the weekend, and the former Liverpool legend believes his previous side is struggling with right back.

Redknapp outlined how the inability to use Alexander-Arnold caused “difficulty” for the managers of this campaign.

“They’re having problems with fullbacks. They’re losing Trent (Alexander Arnold),” Rednap told Sky Sports on Saturday.

“They haven’t played the same right-back since Burnley’s game. Bradley had a tough 45 minutes.

“They have problems across the pitch, but especially with a fullback with Robertson’s injury at the end. This international break could be a good chance to reset.”
