Martin was appointed only in the summer, but fans were seen on banners asking for his exit, and a group of supporters waited for him outside the stadium after a draw with Falkirk on Sunday. Meanwhile, Gerrard is rumoured to be interested in returning to the 55-time champion after doing a disastrous job since leaving the Rangers in 2022.
Gerrard has already held consultations with the Rangers Committee over the summer, but has declined the possibility of returning home due to family reasons. But following Martin’s dismissal, former Scottish International Pat Nevin believes the job could tempt Gerrard this time.
