DreeSen now joins the fight by claiming that Bayern can “all the transfers” but hints that such a large fee is not in line with the club’s spirit.
He also had the opportunity to mention Liverpool and their financial situation, bemoaning the top income available to Premier League clubs for a lucrative broadcasting contract.
“We can afford every transfer we want,” he told Welt Am Sonntag, as Bild quoted. “We have a good capital ratio.
“FC Bayern is on very good terms, but we hope that they can pay the players without running to the bank. That’s not FC Bayern’s DNA.
“The bottom team in the English League is 125 million euros, with media revenue of 60 million euros more than us.
“Liverpool costs 200 million euros, while FC Barcelona and Real Madrid each have 160 million euros.”
Wirtz quietly began his Liverpool career, failing to win or support the Premier League in the first two months of the season, attracting criticism in both the UK and Germany.
