Everton guarantees that the Premier League clash with Crystal Palace will progress despite Storm Amy’s forced to close parts of the stadium. Strong winds and heavy rain have hit the UK for the past 24 hours, causing various damage.

The storm has also seen Dickinson Stadium, on Everton’s new hill, was given the first serious test. And it has been confirmed that some areas surrounding the arena have been closed as a result.

However, we do not expect the closure to affect the Premier League clash between Toffee and Crystal Palace on Sunday. Both sides are set to be combined at 2pm on Sunday.

A statement released on social media channels stated, “We encourage Storm Amy and the original fan walls of the region, Everton Way and Hill Dickinson Stadium are currently closed to visitors for safety reasons due to the harsh weather currently affecting them.

Both Everton and the Palace hope to secure victory as both sides clash. The hosts currently sit ninth in the Premier League table and have won two of the six league opening matches this season under David Moe.

Palace also enjoyed a great start to their new campaign, extending unbeaten runs in all competitions to 19 games. Oliver Glasner’s side could finish the weekend’s top of the table with a victory, and the results are in their favour.

Everton boss Moe spoke before the game, revealing that PGMOL has confirmed that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s currency suspension is incorrect.

He said: “We spoke to them and they accept that the yellow card is wrong. The last two decisions are terrible, and for the boy I miss him more. He’s playing football now.”

Meanwhile, Moet also spoke about the fact that loan winger Jack Grelish has been removed from the latest England team. He added:

“Jack is one of them. He’s in really good shape, but I’m happy he won’t choose an England team. He shows the level he can reach and I hope he continues with it. I believe he’s ready.

Following this weekend’s match, Premier League action ended for upcoming international breaks.
