Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie Rednap apologized live on Sky Sports on Friday night when Bournemouth won 3-1 at Fulham. After Daniel Levy left the Spurs last month, Rednap claimed that Sugar Lord left the club in “complete chaos.”

Redknapp claimed that Levy deserves credit for leaving the club “in a really good way.” Naturally, Lord Sugar took an exception to these comments and brilliantly threatened to sue the former soccer player.

“He talks a lot of garbage,” tweeted the apprentice star. “When Daniel Levi took over the Spurs, he said Alan Sugar left the club in right chaos.

“He and Sky have heard from my lawyer on Monday.” With his first appearance back to the station since his comments, Rednap decided to “set the record straight.”

“Sugar Lord said it was disrupting the club,” Rednap said in a football report Friday night. “I just want to make it clear that he has stabilized the club and invested heavily during his time as president.

“When he took over in 1991, the Spurs were close to bankruptcy and by the time he resigned, his financial situation was reflected. He also put a lot of money in his team and facility.

“I am pleased to apologise to Lord Sugar and his family for misunderstandings and arisings and set the record straight.” The 78-year-old responded to social media after the apology aired on Sky.

“On September 13th, Jamie Rednap said on Sky Sports that he “disturbed” Tottenham when he sold the club to Daniel Levy,” he wrote to X.

“A further apology has also resulted in a donation of £10,000 to Great Ormond Street Hospital.”

Sugar Lord was in charge of Tottenham in 1991. In 1999, former Arsenal manager George Graham delivered the only reigning trophy as he won the Worthington Cup (Carabao Cup) after beating Leicester City in the final.

The businessman will ultimately sell to Enic Group, which continues to own Spurs to this day. Tottenham is currently caught up in a takeover saga along with American DJ Brooklyn Earac, which surrounds a consortium seeking to buy the club, but the ENIC Group has now denied its intention to sell it.
