“It’s great to play with him. I watched him on TV when he was earning goals and things, and he’s a really great athlete. You can improve yourself and learn from him. It’s good to share the pitch with him.
“He’s so cool, he’s cooler than what you see on TV. Sometimes you see a straight face and stuff, so I thought he was cold, so… someone who doesn’t talk much. He’s really open.

A breakout in Frankfurt last season stimulated Ekitique’s career with 15 Bundesliga goals and eight assists after a stagnation at Paris Saint-Germain.
“Being a good player is the biggest turning point of my life,” he said.
The move from Reims to the French capital was to begin his career, but after finishing his first season with just four goals and being cut from the Champions League team early in his sophomore year, loans in Frankfurt were the next move.
“That was the first moment in my life, I know I’ve failed,” he added. “It’s probably halftime and I’ve become tougher in my head. I’ve been in Paris, not. I’m a better player and a better person.
The Reds are not convincing in recent performances, but they’re still on top and on course to try again for the title.
Ekitique asked what he wanted to achieve next.
“Yeah. I know how special it is to win the Premier League for English people, especially here. Yes, yeah, winning the league against Liverpool will be a lesson. I’m excited.”
