Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice was banished late in the 2-0 victory over West Ham after scoring the opening goal of the match at Emirates Stadium
Arsenal’s Declan Rice appeared to ease serious fear with his reaction to his injury that led to West Ham 2-0 win. The midfielder took on the lead role on Saturday after resting for a Champions League victory at the Olympiacos.
Hoping Arsenal will take control of the ball, Arteta chooses captain Martin Odegard’s field and employs Ebelech Eze in two No. 8 positions in the summer, covering the midfield. However, that tactical strategy had to be adjusted when Odegard, who was trying to continue after treatment, was forced to leave the pitch in the 30 minutes.
Norway International was replaced in the first half of Arsenal’s last two league matches at Emirates Stadium due to a shoulder injury, but this time it was a knee issue where he was replaced by Martin Zubimendi.

His introduction pushed Rice further up the pitch, allowing him to be in the right place at the right time after Eze’s shot was biased towards his pass.
Bukayosaka then doubled the home side lead from a penalty spot, following a foul of Julian Timber by Eldo Zimalic Diuff.
The Arsenal star player raised concerns early in the match when he clenched his ankle and fell to the ground, but he endured and celebrated his 200th Premier League appearance in goal. However, Rice was forced to leave the pitch after a collision that required medical treatment and was replaced by Mikel Merino.
Losing the US to injury is a major setback for Arteta, especially considering his impressive performance in the game and his stunning assists to Newcastle United last weekend.
One potential silver lining is that the rice appears to be hugging his back, suggesting that it is not a muscular problem but that he is experiencing pain from the impact.
Mikel Arteta then said about the issue of Rice: “I was suffering from back pain with Declan and he asked me to come out. Let’s see what the doctor is saying now and what’s best for him.”
However, if there is damage, Arteta will reassure you that the international October break is around the corner. So Arsenal’s next match will not be two weeks.
Meanwhile, Thomas Touchel will likely be disappointed if he is unable to participate in England’s obligations due to his friendly relations with Wales and the World Cup qualifiers against Latvia.
But the three Lions bosses certainly have options, with Elliot Anderson starring in the final international break, and Adam Wharton is a capable midfielder to trade team rice if necessary.
