Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea died all three points of death in a brave show with Champions Liverpool. The West Londoners took part in a game that was patched with injuries from their second consecutive Premier League defeat.
Needing a statement performance after a few rocky weeks, Chelsea found a breakthrough in the first half when Moises Caicedo was targeting from 20 yards. The Liverpool goalkeeper took a finger strike, but the force from the midfielder turned out to be too hot to handle. Liverpool tested Chelsea’s backline from time to time, but the Blues managed to see half with a one-goal lead.
Homeside took his foot from the gas in the second half and ultimately paid the price. Liverpool and the abundance of offensive players ultimately defeated the Blues’ defense when Cody Gakupo was equal. But it looked like it was messing up Chelsea. It looked a bit shaky in his distribution, but it’s nothing particularly new. Given the close to the goal, we couldn’t do much about Gakpo’s efforts.

It was very important to a lot of what Chelsea was trying to do, and also dealt with Alexander Isaac when asked to go back to the centre. As always with the British, that’s the case for maintaining his fitness and removing any concerns about injuries. This is easier than you would say.

As Maresca and Chelsea issues continue to appear in that area of the pitch, it was great before they pulled up midway through the second half through injuries.

Another person who would have been put all his might to take off with what appears to be another injury problem. But before that, he, along with his steel partner in the middle, was a brilliant defense at the heart of his defense.
Marc Cucurella -8
I had a little coast run throughout the match, but then popped up with a stunning assist for the winner of Estebao’s final gasp. That alone is worth some extra points in the rating.
Malo Gusto-6
Though he had an enviable job of starting the match from his natural position, the 22-year-old retained himself against the central midfielder of Liverpool. He continued to fight for good effect when he shifted to his natural right-back position.

It wasn’t his most effective game with the Chelsea shirt. Cole Palmer’s absence forced me to put a lot of creative strain on me, but sometimes it looked a little clunky. No with Crime Caiceceo partners. It’s much better to play deeper in the 8 position. Just head to get a chance and get better at the added time in the back post.

It wasn’t as effective as he should have been playing against Milos Kerquez, who was out of form. Sometimes I accidentally owned it and had trouble creating it.

He enjoyed a top 45 minutes in the Chelsea shirts in the first half, but the attackers were constantly plaguing the fullback. Overall, he tormented Connor Bradley, forcing Arneslot to a halftime change. Although we weren’t able to replicate it in the second season, it certainly is a step in the right direction.

Having not played much football lately, there may have been concerns among Chelsea fans that he won’t be able to match the intensity of the contest from the bench. No such fear has been revealed, and the Belgians handle themselves well.

Perhaps surprisingly, he wouldn’t have been able to get a call-up until the second Chelsea defender was injured. There was a difficult job of protecting against the fresh legs of Hugo Ekitike.

It was sometimes hot and cold throughout his 20-minute show. He forced a strong save from the opposition goalkeeper, but has it in possession once or twice. It has not proceeded properly since it arrived from Borussia Dortmund.

There was occupation space at the tip of the Chelsea attack, but it wasn’t exactly difficult to defend.

Added sparks to the slightly flattened Chelsea attack. When they realized they owned it in the last third, they were one of the only players on the home side. It wasn’t surprising that the youngster found a winner after a cameo inspired by the bench.
