Arne Slot confirmed that Alysson will not face Chelsea in Liverpool on Saturday after being injured in the second half of his 1-0 Champions League defeat at Galata Salaye. Liverpool’s first choice goalkeeper needed medical attention after Victor Osimhen prevented him from scoring a second goal just before the time mark in Istanbul on Tuesday night.
He was then replaced by Jorgi Mamardashvili. Giorgi Mamaldashvili is lining up for her Premier League debut this weekend, 56 minutes after Alison appeared to be struggling with muscle problems. The slots show that it is already unlikely that Premier League champions will be suitable for playing on weekends heading to London.
“You’re not positive about going out like this, so you can be sure he’s not playing on Saturday,” the Dutch coach told Amazon Prime. “Let’s wait (back) how long it takes. He’s definitely not going to play on Saturday.”
Hugo Ekicchique was also kicked out by the Reds in the second half at Rams Park, but slots didn’t offer much of a striker update other than saying “hopefully he’s not a bad way.”
The 47-year-old added to the Allison issue press conference: “As he sprinted, he felt something. I’m not a doctor, so I can’t tell you.
“It usually means he can’t play on Saturday. I’m sure he won’t play,” Slot said in Ekitike. “He felt something when he had to get to something for the ball. We were trying to force something. Hugo felt something. He said he couldn’t continue.
Looking back at Liverpool’s performance, I felt that the slots have been added to Amazon Prime and improved general performance. He said: “Again, I was disappointed. For me, this was a different performance (from Crystal Palace) on and off the ball. He played pretty well in the first half and had a big chance to get 1-0.
“It’s difficult to compare this situation to the past. We can’t be a bit wrong in this situation and I can’t blame Dominic Schuboschlei for the situation. They have a 20% penalty of 100%.
“We’ve been (from the level shown last season)
“We saw a lot in the first half, but it was much less in the second half. I didn’t think there was a lot of playing time in the second half, and I didn’t think their strikers were on the floor in four or five times. It was hard to gain momentum in the game.”
