Marcus Rashford has been in great form for Barcelona since joining the loan from Manchester United in the summer, with the Catalan side reportedly keen to sign him permanently next year.
Manchester United will face “major issues” about Marcus Rashford’s future next summer, according to former Manchester City financial advisor Stephen Bourson. Rashford, 27, who has been on a three-year contract with United, joined Barcelona on a seasonal loan in July after Red Devils boss Reuben Amorim revealed he was not in the plan.
The Catalan club retains the option to secure Rashford in 2026 with a permanent move worth £30 million. Following his impressive display since the turn of the international break in September, Barcelona is eager to sign England International, but with a discounted £26 million
And Bolson believes that is a headache for United, as the club doesn’t control the situation. He told Football Insider:

“Whatever he does, is he playing well, whether he’s mediocre, whether he’s patchy, you’ll arrive next summer and have one bidder at the table. The player says he wants to go to Barcelona.
He added:
“Unless there’s a change in the manager, I’m not going to bring him back. He’s very enthusiastic and that must be unlikely. Not the first bit, but the second bit.
“So he’s not back. He’s almost certain, as Barcelona says he wants to go to Barcelona if he wants to sign him, so you’re negotiating with yourself.”
Rashford initially struggled after an in-season loan switch from United to the Catalan Giants during the summer transfer period, but has discovered his groove since netting for the UK on international missions.
The forward is currently contributing or supporting his goals in each of his previous five outings at Barcelona.
His maiden goal for Barca played against Newcastle United in the Champions League this month, but he provided one assist in Laliga’s final quartet.
On Sunday, Rashford nodded Jules Kaunde’s cross to the Barcelona leveler, and Hansi Frick’s team fought back and courted Robert Lewandowski’s second half resolve.
