Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia was welcomed into the first team setup. Malacia wanted to quit United during the summer transfer period and was widely labelled as part of the “Bomb Squad” along with Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Antony.
However, the club showed little enthusiasm for signing Malacia, and the potential switch to Elche fell to the deadline. Malacia has been registered with United’s Premier League team, and Reuben Amorim explains:
After a session at the Academy’s setup, Malacia was returned to the senior group and opened up the prospect of being featured again on the Premier League match-day team.
The Manchester Evening News claims it was always intended to bring Malacia back to the first team crease.
In January, Malacia was loaned to PSV Aindhoven and managed only six starts in all competitions through that spell. The Dutch costume chose not to exercise any options to make movement permanent.
Malacia’s united career was derailed by knee problems and required two separate operations.
