Jurrien Timber argues that no one can doubt the character and beliefs of Arsenal. Timber helped his amazing late victory at Newcastle on the Arsenal stage.

But Timber says their constant die spirit — and the way they fought back at St. James Park, shows their determination to win the Premier League this season.

Gunners Defender Timber now faces back-to-back home games with the Olympiacos in the Champions League, saying this next Saturday at West Ham:
“The season is very long. Looking at the schedule, it looks like a tough beginning. It was a tough beginning, but it’s not easy now.
“It’s going to be tough. The game is still tough. Last year we lost points and lost West Ham at home, so next week won’t be easy.
“If you want to win the Premier League, you know it’s going to be a long season. You need to stay on top, not just this week. The same goes for next week – and we have to continue.”
Arsenal formed a considerable rivalry with Newcastle, losing four times in a row at St James Park until the late turnaround.
But Arsenal went on, and Mikel Merino was equal before Gabriel took the late winner from the 96-minute corner.
Timber acknowledges that this victory is a truly important moment of Arsenal’s entire season and could reinforce the beliefs within.
Timber added: “Hopefully this gives us a lot of strength. I can say the energy in the dressing room afterwards is amazing, because we also know it’s difficult, late, coming in 1-0 at halftime.
“But it’s never going to be tough before a game or a season. This season isn’t easy, this game isn’t easy, you have to show your characters and your beliefs and continue to the end.
“We did that, but we need to keep going. First, the Champions League, then West Ham. Maybe we’ll look back at the end of this season and realize that this game is very important to us.
“But I just believe it will help a lot. I don’t know how the game will go, but this was tough, but in the end I did it. I was at Arsenal so I don’t think I’d ever won at Newcastle.
“I find it difficult to compare seasons. Last season was different, with different players, different moments, different momentum, so I find it difficult to compare.
